Meteor Slides is going global

My goal with Meteor Slides was to make it easy to use with an intuitive interface, and a big part of that usability is being able to read the interface!

To help meet that goal, translation support is the next feature I'll be releasing for Meteor Slides.

However this feature isn't very useful without some translation files, and my high school french isn't going to be of much help. If anyone would like to volunteer to translate Meteor Slides it'd be much appreciated.

Meteor Slides widget and stylesheet

Meteor Slides has been out for two weeks now and I haven't heard about any more bugs, so I have started working on adding more features to the plugin. If you do run into a bug, please let me know.

I was really surprised that almost 400 people watched the Meteor Slides screencast that I recorded, I hope that video makes things easier for some users. I will definitely be making some more screencasts related to theme development in the future.

My first plugin, Meteor Slides

Meteor Slides makes it simple to manage a slideshow with WordPress by adding a custom post type for slides.

There are many slideshow plugins to choose from, and I have a few good ones that I like to use. But each one seems to have some issues.

So I designed Meteor Slides to solve some of those issues and make a slideshow that was easier to use in my projects.

Ampersand, my robot minion

I decided my website really needs a mascot, every website should have a mascot right?

There isn’t a day goes by that I don’t wish I had a robot minion. Some droid as smart as a dog that could pull weeds and help me water the garden.

And on the Net, I need even more help—there just isn’t enough hours in the day!

My outpost on the Net

I have had my own website for over six years, starting in January, 2004. Like so many geeks, operating my own site has been an experimental project where I learned as I went. Since 2004 I have switch domains and domain registrars once, switched webhosts three times, and went through several design incarnations of my [...]
